GE Analytical Instruments' new CheckPoint Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Sensor is the first and only battery-powered TOC measuring device. The winner of the Gold 2007 Instrument Business Outlook (IBO) Portable Instrument Design Award, CheckPoint can be hand carried to any point in a water system for rapid diagnostic sampling and troubleshooting. It can also be used on-line for continuous monitoring. CheckPoint is designed for microelectronics, pharmaceutical, and power applications.

CheckPoint's ultra-portability, fast analysis time, and versatility enable new problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities at points of use away from power sources. The Sensor typically operates five hours on the optional battery, or continuously with AC power. It weighs just 3.6 kg (7.9 lb), and has adjustable measurement intervals of 15 seconds to 8 hours.

CheckPoint has a dynamic range of 0.05 to 1,000 ppb, and features an Ethernet connection. It requires no reagents, has 6-month calibration stability, and is easy to operate and maintain.
