Emulsions and dispersions like milk, emulsifiers, skin creams, paints and coatings are heterogeneous, colloidal systems which have to be analyzed objectively on their stability and aging behavior in their original condition. Using the DataPhysics MultiScan MS20 such a characterization can be done fully automatically and software driven. By measuring the transmission and backscattering rate the sedimentation and creaming, the speed of the creaming process as well as the position depending change of particles and drop sizes of multiphase systems can be monitored exactly, reliable and efficiently. Additionally, a temperature control of single samples before and during the measurement is possible. Doing so, up to six different transparent or opaque samples can be analyzed in different towers simultaneously. Moreover, a special barcode reading system plus the user friendly software guarantee the gapless documentation of single measurements, the evaluation and error analysis as well as the graphical presentation and the export of results.

The MS20 ensures the fast and precise analysis of most diverse emulsions and dispersions and offers therefore a valuable support in research, development and quality assurance.
